In this course you will study a wide range of British Literature, from works that are over 1000 years old and to those in the 21st Century.  ENG 245 introduces traditions and works of multiple genres within British literature. This course develops skills in close reading, interpretation, and comparative analysis.

The assignments associated with this course are include the following:  close readings, social annotations, discussion boards, and other writing activities that.  You will approach literature written from diverse authors and genres from a variety of perspectives and will analyze these literary works within their historical, cultural, social, and/or literary contexts.
