31 Introduction to Primary Sources for Chapters 6-10

The documents in this chapter capture the successes and challenges within the new American Nation.  Some documents explore political issues and conflicts, while others examine the concerns of those who felt the American Revolution did not offer them the unalienable rights discussed in the Declaration of Independence.  These chapters also explore the rise of industrialization in the United States and how that affected American society and the economy.  This section ends with documents that investigate political, economic, and social issues during the Jackson Presidency.
