6 Activity #1: Review and Divide Content
Using your Course Map Template (appendix (a)), divide your course content based on the principles that you learned in person and in your Canvas course shell.
Based on the course learning objectives and major topics, organize the content into modules and update your course map. Divide your course into modules.
Review Course Learning Objectives
Ensure you understand the overall goals and objectives of your course.
Align the course content with these objectives.
Identify Major Topics
List the major topics covered in your course.
Make sure these topics align with your learning objectives.
Organize Content into Modules
Based on the major topics and learning objectives, divide your course content into manageable modules.
Ensure each module covers a specific set of topics that align with your course objectives.
Update Your Course Map
Use your Course Map Template (Appendix (a)) to reflect the organized modules.
Make sure to include module titles, learning objectives, and key topics for each module.
Check for Alignment
Verify that each module aligns with the overall course learning objectives.
Ensure that the content within each module is cohesive and logically structured.
Finalize and Submit
Review your updated course map for clarity and completion.

Activity #2: Use Generative AI in Course Design
This assignment is located in your Canvas course shell.
Use ChatGPT to help with module learning objectives.
Log into ChatGPT (or your preferred generative ai platform).
You can either create an account or use the public version (Bing or ChatGPT).
Prompt the generative AI model to help you create module level objectives. Here are some examples of prompts:
Prompt 1: “Starting with the course-level objective: ‘(add objective here),’ create three module-level objectives. Each objective should target a different cognitive level from Bloom’s taxonomy, such as Remember, Apply, and Evaluate, and be clearly measurable.”
Prompt 2: “Given the course-level objective: ‘(add objective here),’ develop four module-level objectives. Use different levels of Bloom’s taxonomy like Understand, Analyze, and Create to ensure the objectives are specific and measurable.”
Prompt 3: “Using the course-level objective: ‘(add objective here),’ generate five module-level objectives. Ensure that each objective corresponds to a different level of Bloom’s taxonomy, including Comprehend, Apply, Analyze, and Create, and is written in a measurable format.”
Refine the objectives based on your needs.
It is always helpful to let your generative AI model know what they got right and what they got wrong. This helps train the AI model for the next person who asks this question.
Post your objectives and refinements in the Canvas discussion board.
