Use anatomical terminology to make a detailed report that describes the wounds on “wounds for post lab” image to the right.

Stab wound A:

1. Use the surface term(s) to describe the region of the body where the wound is located and two directional terms to give a detailed description of exact location.

2. State the plane of section to describe the direction of the wound.

3. Name the cavity penetrated and serous membranes involved if applicable.

4. What organ system(s) is/are directly impacted by wound A?  What is the function of this organ system?

Stab wound B:

5. Use the “wounds for report” image to describe the exact location of the body where the wound is located using appropriate surface anatomy (anatomical terminology) and two directional terms. If the wound is in the abdomen, describe which of the 9 abdominal pelvic regions it is in.

6. Give the plane of section most appropriate to describe the wound.

7. In what body cavity is the wound located? Name any serous membranes that may also have been damaged.

8. What organ system(s) is/are directly impacted by this wound? What is the function of this organ system?

Stab wound C:

9. Use the “wounds for report” image to describe the exact location of the body where the wound is located using appropriate surface anatomy (anatomical terminology) and two directional terms. If the wound is in the abdomen, name the appropriate abdominopelvic region involved.

10.Give the plane of section most appropriate to describe the wound. 11.What organ system(s) is/are directly impacted by this wound? What is the function of this organ system?
